Daniel Boone Homestead

The Breakthrough Challenge was founded in 2013. Our goal is to raise funds supporting breakthroughs in cancer research at Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center by uniting for a scenic and inspiring bike ride through Eastern PA's beautiful Oley Valley.


There are 3 bike route options (50, 25 and 12 miles).

50 mile: arrive by 8:00 am*    Ride with GPS Link

 

25 mile: arrive by 10:00 am*  Ride with GPS Link

 

12 mile: arrive by 10:30 am*  Ride with GPS Link 

*Please be prepared to have wheels on the ground and ready to ride by the designated start time.

Please note there is a 10 mph vehicle speed limit within Daniel Boone Homestead.

POST RIDE LUNCH - 11:15 am to 2:00 pm

Complimentary lunch will be catered by Gourmand Café, Brick & Blaze Pizza, and Sweet Ride Ice Cream.

We will also have complementary soft drinks and beer.

A DJ will keep the action going with music and announcements

 

If you own an Epi Pen, please do not forget to bring it with you.


Virtual Challenges

Leading up to the in person bike ride, participants can join virtual challenges from Monday, September 9 –  Sunday, September 15, 2024 for cyclists, spinners, runners and walkers on the Strava app.  Details coming soon!
