Clean Water Lemurs
The Lemurs ride again! Help us empower women and girls in Madagascar to dream, plan, and lead their families out of poverty by achieving literacy, math skills, and building their own businesses!
Your donations go 100% to work in Madagascar via the all-volunteer Caring Response Madagascar Foundation led by Virginia Wiltse in Cincinnati. 2024 marks the 25th year of our collaboration with the amazing Malagasy community development nonprofit ONG St. Gabriel.
Thanks to you, the Lemurs have been the top fundraising team in three Tours de Gem, including 2023. You've helped ONG St. Gabriel provide thousands of people with safe water and sanitation, and provided smoke-free stoves. These changes have led to a huge drop in the incidence of deadly water borne diseases and lung disease.
Through ONG St. Gabriel's neighborhood-based adult literacy classes, women's self-help groups, and programs to help girls stay in and complete school, your donation liberates people from poverty and oppression.
On the Caring Response Madagascar mission trip in 2023, we met incredibly strong, joyful, and determined women who are achieving life-changing success in women's self-help groups which ONG St. Gabriel urges them to join. They have gone from poverty to earning good incomes from businesses including farming, catering, and even real estate!
So this year the Lemurs are riding to cheer for and support women and girls as they gain the confidence and skills to build a great future for their families!
