Coronavirus Updates from the PWP Event Team

Update 7/29/2021:

Current CDC guidelines recommend masking while at indoor gatherings for fully vaccinated people due to the increasing presence of the Delta variant.  Our ask to you is:
 

• Please respect one another's choice whether to mask at this time
• Recognize the community we benefit is at higher risk to contract Covid
• If you choose to ride in a volunteer's support vehicle (due to mechanical issues with your bicycle or otherwise), please comply with their request if you are asked to put on a mask.

Furthermore, to minimize congregation in the morning we will not have a formal check-in station. Riders are free to begin their ride during their chosen time slot.

PWP Supporters:

As we prepare for our annual ride event, The Pedal with Pete Foundation feels that it is important to communicate with our many supporters the actions we are preparing to take relative to coronavirus. It is our hope that by the time of our Columbus event, scheduled for July 31st, that the current severe restrictions on public gatherings will have been rescinded. We are continuing our planning based on that assumption. However, we are taking all possible steps to maintain the flexibility needed to reschedule or, if necessary, to cancel the event. If a rescheduling or cancellation is necessary, we will provide a refund of your registration fee or the option to convert your registration fee into a donation to the Pedal with Pete Foundation. We may also make prudent changes to how the event is managed, such as staggering departure times and eliminating sit down eating in order to provide more social distancing.
