Bed Race Information

Help local families in poverty by racing in the 2020 Bed Race Presented by Sauder on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020! This unique family-friendly event raises funds with teams pushing twin beds on wheels. Use our provided bed or bring your own and get creative with costumes and themes!

Teams of 5 participate in a bed parade, fundraising and costume contests and three to four races in the Barnes and Noble Parking Lot at Easton Town Center. The event runs approximately from 8 am to noon.

We suggest that teams raise $500- helping to serve two families with a home full of furniture. When you sign up, you get a personalized fundraising webpage you can use to ask your friends, family, and others to donate to your Bed Race team. We'll also provide tips and tricks for raising more money.

Team registration is $200 or $40 per person through Sunday, April 19th, 2020 at midnight. Fundraising participants are free. This year, a limited number of racers who sign up and then race will receive a $20 Easton gift card!

  • Teams are groups of a minimum of 5 people- one rider and four racers. Registration is $200 per team or $40 per person and closes on Sunday, April 19th, 2020 at midnight.
  • You can pay for your entire team at once and have your teammates join later, or you can individually pay and join your team. But to start a new team, you need at least two people to secure your team's spot in this year's race!
  • A shared bed rental is included with each team this year, and a reserved bed rental can be purchased for an additional fee. Quantities are limited, so purchase today by adding to your cart. Restrictions apply to decorations on both bed types.
  • When registering, Team Captains will choose their Bed Racing Division- the options are Just for Fun, Competitive, and Not Racing and teams will be grouped according to their division.
    • Just for Fun teams race for the fun and fundraising aspects of the event.
    • Competitive teams are athletic, elite and in it to win it. You want to make it to the finals, bring home the title in 2020, and also actively engage in the fundraising aspects of the race!
    • Not Racing is for virtual teams or for teams that want to dress up in costume and raise funds. You can still participate but we will not seed your team into races.
  • T-shirts are included for registered bed racers and riders and are available for purchase for fundraising participants

For more information about how the race works, visit the FAQ page and read Bed Construction Rules and Team Rules.

Don't want to share a bed on race day? You can rent a reserved bed that will stay with your team all day! Add it to your cart at any time when you log in. Quantities are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
